Chapter 1314
Chapter 1314:
I turned to see Jett striding toward us, his icy eyes burning with rage.
He reached me and pulled me behind him protectively with such force I nearly stumbled.
So, the man with the iron arm was Antoni Harrison? Antoni? The name tugged at some distant corner of my mind, but I couldn’t place it.
The air grew thick with tension.
“Jett, why are you so worked up?” Colt’s voice was smooth, almost mocking, as he lazily adjusted his cuffs. “We just stumbled across an old friend and thought we would catch up.”
“Leave,” Jett growled, his grip tightening on my wrist until it ached.
I flinched, and he loosened his hold slightly but didn’t let go.
“No wonder we sent so many people to search for her and came up empty-handed. Turns out, you found her first,” Colt said with a taunting smile. “Well done, my little brother. Quite the clever move.”
“We’re leaving.” Jett ignored Colt’s jabs, tugging my hand to lead me away, his eyes never leaving Colt and Antoni.
As I turned to follow, Colt’s voice slithered through the air like a venomous snake. “Hiding a werewolf in the Wizard Clan’s palace, Jett? If Father finds out, you’ll face execution for colluding with an outsider.”
Makenna’s POV:
“Werewolf?”
The word struck me like a bolt of lightning.
My feet froze mid-step, fingers instinctively tightening around the edge of my dress.
The sunlight seemed to grow harsh, scattering dark spots across my vision.

I turned slowly toward Jett. His profile was rigid in the dappled light, his jaw sharp and resolute.
I was a werewolf? Why had Jett kept this from me?
“Makenna is my mate,” Jett declared, his voice cold and unyielding, every word weighted with conviction. “She has no ties to the werewolves.”
“What?” Colt erupted into chilling laughter, the sound crawling down my spine.
“Did you hear that, Antoni? He says Makenna’s his mate. Am I hearing things?” He slapped Antoni’s shoulder as if savoring a cruel jest, then turned his mocking stare back on Jett. “You’re quite the schemer, little brother.”
Antoni’s sharp gaze fixed on me, piercing and unrelenting. “The three werewolf princes have torn the continent apart looking for Makenna.”
He tilted his head, a twisted smirk curling his lips.
My breath caught.
Three werewolf princes?
The words sliced through my mind, unraveling what little clarity I clung to. My temples pounded as though something buried deep within me clawed its way to the surface.
“Enough!” Jett roared, seizing my wrist and pulling me away.
I stumbled as he dragged me toward the villa. Glancing back, I caught Colt and Antoni still standing there, their faces twisted with identical, sinister smirks.
Jett’s posture was rigid, his entire being radiating fierce, terrifying anger.
