Chapter 1184
Chapter 1184:
I could see the desire in his gaze, and it made me feel incredibly shy.
I gently pushed him back, my face heating up with embarrassment. “I’ll change out of this dress first. Then we can focus on finding a dress for Alice and sorting out the wedding venue.”
With that, I quickly turned and rushed back to the fitting room, my cheeks burning red.
Inside, I awkwardly took off the gown, my face still flushed as my heart pounded in my chest.
After handing the gown to the store assistant, we finally focused on finding a wedding dress for Alice.
I knew exactly what Alice liked. She preferred simple, elegant styles and wasn’t fond of anything too flashy.
I picked out dress after dress, each one reflecting her taste, until I had narrowed it down to about twelve options. Every one seemed like the perfect choice for her.
I handed the dresses to the store assistants, telling them to have them ready for Alice to try on later.
Once we were done choosing the dresses, we made our way to Marehelm’s grandest hall for a tour.
The hall was breathtaking, with its soaring white dome and delicate lights scattered across the ceiling, shimmering like stars in the night sky.
I paid close attention to every little detail of the wedding plan, carefully considering everything from the decorations to the music, to make sure Alice’s wedding would be perfect.
By the time I had everything wrapped up, night had already come. We headed back to the Pierce family estate, and as soon as we walked through the door, we bumped into Alice and Amon.

As soon as Alice noticed me, she hurried over, her face showing clear concern. “Makenna, where have you been? You’ve been gone all day! What happened? Is everything okay?”
Her question caught me off guard, and a sense of anxiety quickly took hold of me.
I cleared my throat awkwardly, trying to mask my unease. “Ah, well, I… I just went for a walk outside, you know, to check if anything interesting had come up.”
Alice didn’t buy it. She frowned, giving me a doubtful look. “A walk? But I heard from the staff that you left with the three princes. And it looked pretty secretive.”
Her words made my heart race wildly. I nodded quickly, doing my best to keep calm. “Oh, well… yes, we did go out together, but it was really nothing more than a casual trip.”
Alice looked like she was about to dig deeper, but I couldn’t let her, worried she might discover the truth.
“Oh, wait, Alice! I just remembered something important I have to take care of. I’ll talk to you later!” I blurted out, my voice rushing as I grabbed the chance to leave fast.
Without waiting for her to respond, I quickly ushered the three princes along and made a speedy exit.
Since Cody’s death, the three princes had moved into the Pierce family estate. They said it was for planning, but it was clear they also wanted to stay close to me.
When we got back to the guest quarters, Dominic was immediately called over by his men, who brought up an urgent issue.
