"Things have been good. The teachers take good care of me," Bella answered.

As for what the reality was, only Bella knew the truth. She didn't want to spend too much time on this particular subject, so she changed the topic and asked about Jack and Feena's relationship.

"Is your relationship with Feena... that good?"

Jack nodded and grinned before answering, "Yes, it's going great. We're going to get married after we graduate. When the time comes, I hope you can attend our wedding ceremony."

"I'll definitely be there. I wish for both of you to support each other through thick and thin and to be able to grow old together," Bella said as she raised her wine glass. "Here, let's toast to your love!"

They clinked their glasses together and drained the wine within in one go. Bella then filled their glasses to the brim again.

Jack asked, "Can you tell me more about you and your boyfriend's relationship?"

He had intentionally brought this up because he wanted to indirectly remind Bella of their current statuses, and that they shouldn't cross boundaries.

Bella swirled the wine in her glass lightly before she murmured, "He's a student of Montclair Art Academy, and he's a senior too. He wants to host an art exhibition after he graduates, and he's already apprenticing under the most famous oil painter in Zargonia. It's going to be very helpful for his future."

"Looks like your boyfriend has a bright future ahead of him. You've always liked men who were artsy and talented. Congratulations on finding your actual life partner."

Jack raised his glass. He clinked it with Bella's glass before downing the wine in one go once more.

The red wine had a powerful kick to it. Although they had drunk two glasses in quick succession, Jack appeared to be quite normal. On the other hand, Bella's cheeks were already slightly flushed. She looked even more stunning as she was illuminated by the distant lights.

Bella refilled their glasses once again before asking, "You... Do you remember how we were before?"

"I don't."

The truth was Jack was still able to recall every detail with crystal clear clarity, but he didn't want Bella to know that. After all, it was all in the past now and had been blown away with the wind.

"I remember..." Bella muttered. "The first day of university was when summer was giving way to fall. I was arguing with Andres under the tree near the men's dormitory. You appeared then..."

She giggled before continuing, "I still remember how haughty you looked. I was especially mortified after you rejected me I made a vow that day that i was going to conquer you no matter what it took. I was going to make you worship me before ruthlessly kicking you to the curb.

"Later on, you agreed to be a couple with me despite your reservations. I still remember how I would drag you to the bar to drown my sorrows in alcohol whenever I was upset. would scold you for being useless, unromantic poor, and tasteless for wearing counterfeit products everyday and strutting around like you owned the place.

"I even called you Big Bun... Have you forgotten all of this?"

As Bella reminisced about the past, she stared at Jack with hopeful and blurry eyes. Of course, Jack remembered everything that she described, but there was no point in bringing this up again. It was why he chose to let the conversation fizzle out.

Melancholy swirled in Bella's eyes. "Big Bun, you even told me that I was lying to you at the time. But the truth was... I had fallen into love's trap by then. I had completely forgotten about my original idea about humiliating you after chasing after you.

"My mind was filled with nothing but you. Whenever I went shopping, I would think about getting us matching couple sets. When I shopped in fashion stores, I would browse the men's section. I would think about things like whether you would look good in this shirt, or whether you would look good in the other shirt...

"I also have to admit that I perceived you wrongly! To be honest, I've never been very good at reading people. You're not useless at all, on the contrary, you're so excellent and outstanding. It was no wonder Amelia regretted losing you so much.

"You were also my dream man once upon a time... It's a shame that we can't go back to how things used to be..."

Bella sighed lightly. She sipped on her wine as she gazed at Jack. "Big Bun, do you think I'm pitiful for reminiscing about the past in front of you when we've found our own loves? Do you think that I'm bringing this up at the wrong time? Would you look down on me?"

Jack stayed mute, so Bella continued, "Don't mind it too much. I'm just reminiscing about the past. After today, I'll be flipping to a new chapter in my life, so I won't be bothering you anymore.

"You have your new life to live while I also have to fight for my love. I need to fight for my happiness that truly belongs to me."
