Chapter 954
"Jack, your song is fantastic. I feel so moved by it! This song tugged on my
heartstrings even more than the previous ones you've ever sung. You must have such a story to tell, huh?"
A female fan cried and said, "I can't take it anymore. I can't stop thinking about my first love. I really want to look for him."
Phoebe recomposed herself and whispered to Jack, "If you released this song online, I'm sure it would exceed all your previous masterpieces."
However, Jack merely shook his head and said, "Just treat it as a personal wail. I'm merely singing for myself."
It was clear Jack had no intention of circulating the song. Phoebe could only chuckle -perhaps having too much talent was its own kind of burden.
Before long, the radio station moved into the live interaction segment between the hosts and the listeners.
Initially, they expected only a handful of calls. But to everyone's surprise, the lines were flooded. Even the station's switchboard operator scrambled to handle the surge of incoming calls.
The first caller was a lady. "I cried! Phoebe, I really love this song. Who sang this? Why can't I find the lyrics or any information about this song in my searches? It would kill me if I couldn't hear it anymore."
The second caller was also a lady. "Phoebe, can you please ask the male host to sing it again? I beg you!"
The third caller asked, "Is this Soul? Phoebe, was the singer the long-lost Soul? ve listened to his songs countless times. I'm sure of it it has to be his voice. No one else could sing like that."
The fourth caller was even more confident. "It's Soul! It has to be him! Even if he turned to ashes, I would still recognize that voice."
"Oh my god! I can't believe the rumors were true! Could it be that Soul is one of our own?"
"Soul, can you hear me? If you hear me, please respond to me. I adore this song and had never heard anyone else sing it. Please tell me the name of this song, can you?"
The flood of listeners' calls kept the small broadcast station busy. Phoebe could barely keep up while Jack stood to the side, stunned by the unexpected chaos.
He never thought that after leaving the music industry for two years, he would still receive such an overwhelming response the moment he opened his mouth.
With a barrage of listeners'
questions, Phoebe could only offer
vague replies, neither confirming nor denying that Jack was Soul.
However, with Soul's massive fanbase and the loose lips ofthe younger students at the station it was only a matter of time before the news spread like wildfire across campus.
The last call came from a soft,
gentle voice. "Phoebe, I've always believed those meant to be will find their way to each other. I just wanted to say that you and Jack are a perfect match. So, when will you finally get together?"
Phoebe was stunned and couldn't help but turn to Jack, only to realize that Jack
was looking at her too. She quickly turned her head away, pretending like nothing had happened.
