Chapter 845
"Oh my god!" Casper exclaimed. "Old buddy, it really is you!"
Casper threw himself at Jack and enveloped him in a tight embrace. He never would have imagined that he would run into Jack here of all places, in a country that was thousands of miles away from his home. He felt as if the heavens had blessed him with this opportunity.
The touching scene had left the onlookers dumbfounded as they watched it unfold
before their eyes. This text is hosted at FindN()vel.net
Jason was stunned as he stared at Casper. Confusion swirling in his eyes, he asked, "King Casper, this man is..."
He didn't understand how Jack could possibly have a connection with the king of Afrona.
Casper gestured animatedly as he explained, "This is my old buddy, Jack! He's the one I've been telling you about! He's the one who called to ask me to open the borders to let your younger brother into my country."
Jason was struck by the revelation. So, not only was Jack an old friend of Casper's, but he was also the one who had saved Frank.
He recalled how his daughter, Charlotte, had mentioned that a schoolmate of hers had requested help from the king of Afrona to save Frank. He hadn't believed her words at the time, thinking that she had made it up, but now that Casper had verified her claim, he was shocked to find out that she had been telling the truth
all along.
Jason couldn't help but wonder who exactly Jack was and where he had come from.
Casper, too impatient to wait for Jason and Jack to greet each other, tugged Jack with him to introduce him to another friend of his-Brandon Pearson, another leader in Afrona. "Brandon, this is the founder of Haven Net and Genesis Games. The game that we play-'Legend of the West'-is his masterpiece."
Brandon spoke to Jack with a tone that was dripping with respect. "You're way too awesome, Jack! Casper and I are loyal followers of yours!"
The people around them broke into bright smiles.
Jason's surprise only continued to grow as he gazed at Jack. So, he was not only Frank's savior, but also the founder of Haven Net. He couldn't help but wonder how Charlotte had managed to acquaint herself with such a talented young man.
Jack was a businessman, but what
set him apart from the other businessmen was that he owned Haven Net, an immensely
successful company that had
enough influence to affect foreign public opinion. After discovering this fact, Jack's position in Jason's eyes shot up by several levels.
A person who was able to win Casper's favor and establish a company as impressive as Haven Net was more than enough for Jason to humble himself. He took the initiative and offered his hand for Jack to shake.
"Nice to meet you, Jack. I've heard many things about you, but I didn't expect to run into you here. What a
happy como charlotte always
talks about you. I'd also like to thank you for saving Frank's life. If you need any help in the future, please
do not hesitate to seek me out."
Jason meant every word that he said. Whether it be for professional or personal reasons, he had plenty of reasons to nurture a relationship with Jack.
Casper also used the opportunity to invite Jack to join them for a meal. "Are you free right now, old buddy? If you are, I want you to join us for lunch. I have so many things to tell you! I'm so glad to have run into you!"
Jason added, "If you have time, why don't you join us for a meal, Jack? I owe you a few toasts to properly express my gratitude toward you."
Jason's and Casper's words made the hearts of the businessmen that were present hammer wildly in their chests. They never would have imagined that Jack was acquainted with Jason and the king of another country.
If Jack joined their association, his connections would be invaluable. Although Jack didn't have a strong family background, he himself was all the support that he needed Someone who had a connection with a powerful figure such as Jason could easily blow everyone else out of the water.
The members of Alnewgo Association looked toward Jack with sparkling eyes.
The authority and power that he wielded were more than enough to become their support.
