Chapter 797
In Tatiana's opinion, to be able to personally interact with the leader of the new generation in the business industry was a great honor. She had also heard the rumors that this business leader was close to her age, had a handsome and tall appearance, and was very charming. Tatiana wanted to meet him herself to verify these rumors.
A tall and muscular man was standing next to Tatiana at that moment. The man was Cory Daxton, her boyfriend. He was looking around their surroundings before his eyes landed on Jack. He made a soft noise in his throat when he recognized him.
Tatiana still hadn't noticed Jack. Curiously, she asked, "What's wrong?"
Cory pointed at Jack, who was standing a short distance away, and said, "Do you know who he is? He's the guy who confessed to Bella in front of everyone in the school some time ago the same guy who's the hottest topic on the school's discussion forums right now."
"Is he now?"
Tatiana was quite nosy normally, and she had actually kept a close eye on Bella and Hugo's developing love story. She was a fan of Hugo's talents and had thought that he and Bella were a match made in heaven. She still believed that he would succeed in his endeavors of pursuing her, and that Jack was nothing more than a small hurdle he had to overcome.
She looked in the direction that Cory was pointing at and noticed that Jack was looking right at her. She realized in shock that the "extreme loser" who had tried to woo Montclair's campus queen with morning glories was none other than the cousin that she had been introduced to recently.
How on earth could there be such a coincidence?
Tatiana tugged on the corner of Cory's shirt and asked, "Are you absolutely certain?"
"I'm 100 percent sure!" he answered confidently.
He had watched the video recordings on repeat when they were first uploaded to the discussion forums. The man in the videos looked exactly like Jack. They were even wearing similar clothes and shoes. Who else could the man in the videos be if not Jack?
Tatiana could feel a nerve pulsing in her forehead. This cousin of hers had a knack for attracting attention for all the wrong reasons. It was still hard for her to believe that he was the same guy who had confessed to Bella with nothing but a bouquet of morning glories.
She wanted to greet him, but when she thought about the "extreme loser" label that had been attached to him recently, she hesitated. If other people found out that they were cousins, wouldn't her reputation be negatively impacted as well?
A woman was naturally protective of her image. She didn't want to be associated with such an infamous figure! Thus, Tatiana moved deeper into the crowd, terrified that Jack would spot and recognize her.
On the other hand, Jack had no idea that Tatiana had noticed his presence. He wanted to greet her but wasn't able to do so after she disappeared into the crowd. He would have to put it on hold for the time being since he also needed to go backstage soon.
Suddenly, a voice echoed from behind him. "Jack, you're here too?"
He turned around to see Cynthia with Magdalene strolling next to her. The two women approached him leisurely.
It was true that one would run into who they were destined to meet no matter the place or time. Jack had indeed bumped into both Cynthia and Magdalene every time he dropped by Montclair Conservatory. Follow current novᴇls on fιɴdnοvel.net
He waved at them and asked, "The two of you are here too?"
Cynthia smiled at him and nodded while Magdalene scanned their surroundings with watchful eyes.
When she didn't spot Bella, she asked, "Why didn't you bring your Montclair campus queen girlfriend with you? Where did you take Bella to that night anyway? The two of you disappeared so quickly!"
Jack answered with a smile. "She has other plans this afternoon, so she didn't come along."
Naturally, he wasn't going to tell them that his relationship with Bella had met its end. There was no need to inform the entire world of such depressing news.
It was more of their style to keep a low profile anyway. They got together amicably, and they would also go their own ways amicably. There was no need for anyone else to know.
