"I heard that you're with Feena now. Is that true?" Phoebe asked in her next

message.

A considerable amount of time had passed before Phoebe finally sent the message to Jack. He suspected that she had actually fought with herself as to whether she was going to send it at all.

After all, Phoebe had always been an indifferent person who didn't seem to be concerned with what was going on in the world. She definitely wasn't the type to engage in gossip.

It wasn't a big deal that Phoebe knew about him being with Feena. They were often together, and Wesley had been the first one to find out about them. There was no way that Wesley, with his big mouth, would be able to keep such an earth- shattering revelation a secret for long.

Furthermore, Feena liked to post about them on her social media, so everyone who was a part of her circle was also in the know.

Even though Phoebe was all the way in Brightland, she wasn't actually cut off from the world. Just because it had been a long time since she chatted with Jack didn't mean that she wasn't in contact with her other friends.

Besides, for someone like Jack, who was a legendary figure, and Feena, who was also someone who was close to being a legendary figure, to be dating each other, it was only natural that their relationship would be used as a topic of conversation whenever people gathered around to share a meal.

Jack had no plans to hide the truth from Phoebe. His fingers flew across the screen as he typed out a reply. "That's right. I've been with Feena for quite some time now."

Jack's heart filled with gratitude upon hearing Phoebe's praises.

Phoebe's next message read, "But Jack, I also wanted to ask you what happened with Bella since you're together with Feena now."

Jack felt his chest tighten as he typed out a reply. He couldn't help but recall Bella's voice from earlier, and how she had sounded both so familiar and yet like a stranger to him at the same time. "We broke up a long time ago, so our relationship has also gone with the wind."

"You... you're truly willing to let go of Bella? If she finds out that you've given up on waiting for her and that you're dating Feena now, wouldn't she be so upset?"

"I don't think so," Jack replied. "Actually, I called her earlier today. However, she treated me like I was a stranger."

He proceeded to describe to Phoebe how his conversation with Bella had gone, including the tone she had used with him.

"What happened to her?" Phoebe couldn't quite believe what Jack had told her. "So you're suspecting that Bella was just playing with your feelings all along? But... I don't think she would do that!"

After all, Phoebe was a woman, and a woman's intuition was typically quite accurate. Furthermore, her dorm had been close to Bella's when they were both still in Alnewgo University. Rumors of her relationship with Jack would often spread until reached Phoebe's ears.

At least from what Phoebe had seen, Bella's feelings for Jack had been genuine. If not, then she was a truly frightening person for harboring such malicious intentions.

Jack wasn't able to provide an answer for Phoebe's confusion. He also wished to know the real truth. Unfortunately, he would probably never get the answers to his questions.

Drowsiness began to creep up on Jack as his conversation with Phoebe dragged on late into the night. He bid his farewells to her before falling into a deep sleep.

In his dreams, he realized that not only was he with Feena, but Bella and Phoebe

had also appeared by his side. The three women confessed their love to him, with Phoebe even saying, "I love you."
