Chapter 606

Luna said, "Can I take your concern as a sign that you might have feelings for me?"

Jack shook his head. "No! Friends care for each other the same way too."

"Okay!" Luna looked at Jack sternly and said, "You don't have to worry about me. I have a few relatives in New Vork, so I'll look for them. Thank you for your help today. I wouldn't have known what to do if you hadn't swooped in to help."

At this point, the haze of the alcohol finally began to lift for Luna. Recalling the danger she had narrowly escaped, a lingering sense of fear still clutched at her heart.

Jack was relieved to hear that Luna had family in New Vork. At least, she wouldn't be left alone this far away from home. Thᴇ link to the origɪn of this information rᴇsts ɪn find[ɴ]ovel.net

At this moment, Luna's eyes twinkled with mischief again as she asked, "Oh, Jack. Don't you think that fate has brought us together?"

"What do you mean?" Jack curiously asked.

"Back then, when some guys outside of Alnewgo University harassed my roommate and me, you saved us with your Bentley. At that moment, you appeared so charmingly and intimidating. Now, in New Vork and miles away from home, you saved me again. If this isn't fate, tell me what this is," Luna said as she looked at Jack inexplicably.

Women were emotional creatures; they often romanticized fate and destiny.

If meeting outside of Alnewgo University was a coincidence, meeting again in faraway New Vork and being saved by Jack could no longer be described as a coincidence.

This was the doing of fate and destiny.

At this thought, Luna looked at Jack, the man who always left one in awe and breathless. She said gently, "Jack, do you believe in destiny?"

"I'm a realist," Jack firmly replied.

Under the influence of alcohol, Luna rolled her eyes at Jack. "Could you not be such a realist?"

Then, she said flirtatiously, "I believe in destiny. Now, I even wonder if you were my guardian angel. Otherwise, you wouldn't have saved me so many times." Jack looked at Luna, surprised.

She continued, "Now, you're single, and I'm single too. What do you think about us getting together?"

Jack was surprised by Luna's forwardness. Stuttering, he said, "Y-You must be joking!"

This idea would have never appeared in his mind. There was just no way!

Luna laughed. "How did you know I was joking? But I was really joking! Why would I like you in the first place?

"My dream man needs to be handsome and filthy rich. Do you even have any money to your name? If you have 100 million dollars, I'll marry you. Oh, it's a shame you don't have that kind of money.

"Since you have such a handsome face, if you're open to pursuing me, I'll consider lowering my price to 50 million dollars. However, it's unfortunate that you still don't have that money."

After saying this, Luna sighed. Any talk about fate and destiny faded into the

harshness of reality when faced with such circumstances.

Eventually, Jack suggested, "Why don't I send you home?"

He didn't want to get too involved with this woman anymore.

However, Luna shook her head and rejected the offer, "It's okay. I'll ask someone to get me."

Then, Luna took out her phone. Not long after, a car arrived as expected.

After Luna left in the car, Jack headed toward the hotel.
