Bella chewed on her bottom lip. A mixture of longing and helplessness swirled in her eyes. She hadn't prepared for the sudden departure, and she wasn't even given a chance to bid farewell to Jack.

"If you're going to miss him that much, there's still some time tomorrow morning for you to meet him."

Claire had no choice but to concede to Bella's wishes, figuring that sometimes a light hand was better than a heavy one. If she forbade Bella from meeting Jack on her last day at Alnewgo University, there was no guarantee that Bella wouldn't resort to extreme measures.

Bella said goodbye to Clarice before returning to the dorm. With tears streaming down her cheeks, she dialed Jack's number for the rest of the day. However, Jack didn't answer her calls. Bella's tears spilled down her cheeks. She held so much fondness for Alnewgo University and the land it was built on. Alnewgo used to be her home, the place where she lived and studied.
