Chapter 1023
lan said in annoyance, "There's a queue for a reason. We came first, so you've to wait for your turn."
The woman placed her hands on her hips and sneered, "How dare you? Do you even know who's dining inside? You can't afford to offend them."
lan shook his head and replied, "I don't care who they are. We ordered the food first. Go away."
With that, he motioned to the waitress to carry the dishes into their private room.
The woman's face darkened with fury. She stepped forward, blocking the waitress, and suddenly lunged to snatch a dish off the tray.
"Stop it!" lan yelled.
"I won't!" the woman snapped back, glaring at him. "Touch me, and I swear you'll regret it."
Just as the scene threatened to spiral, the door to the next room opened. "What's going on out here? What's all the noise?" a man asked.
Everyone turned and saw a man with defined features and charisma step out. He commanded authority like a natural leader. It was none other than Patrick—the man Jack had just mentioned earlier.
As Patrick stepped out, a young man and woman followed closely behind. It was none other than Mitchell and Winona, the siblings who had just clashed with Jack earlier.
Seeing Patrick and the rest appear, the sultry woman said, "Our food just arrived, and these people tried to snatch it!"
She was boldly playing the victim. What a shameless woman.
The waitress immediately waved her hands in protest. "There must be a
misunderstanding. These dishes were ordered by the guests in this room. Yours are
being prepared and should be ready soon. I ask for your patience."
"Lies! These are clearly our dishes! Say another word, and I'll rip that mouth of yours open," the woman snapped. Emboldened with Patrick's presence, her arrogance knew ho bounds.
"Don't bother with them," lan said coolly, nodding to the waitress to carry the dishes
into their room. He wanted to see just how far these people intended to go.
"You dare touch those plates? I dare you to touch it!" The woman charged forward as if ready to grab the food by force.
"Back off!" lan shoved the woman aside without hesitation.
Caught off guard, she stumbled and fell to the ground. Patrick's face darkened instantly. "Are you tired of living?"
Though Patrick was on the military blacklist, lan didn't know who he was. He glanced at Patrick and scoffed, "What do you want?"
"I don't care if my people were in the wrong. The moment you lay a hand on someone, you crossed the line."
The woman stayed seated, refusing to get up. She squeezed some tears and complained, "Patrick, you have to stand up for me! Teach this bastard a lesson!"
The commotion outside eventually
caught the attention of people in
Jack's private room. Jack rose and stepped out to see what was happening. Myra, who had been

seated beside him, rushed out as weff.
Jack saw Patrick. "You?" they said in unison. Both were equally stunned to see each other.
Mitchell and Winona looked at Jack in confusion. "Patrick, do you recognize him?" "Recognize him? We go way back." Patrick exhaled a lazy puff of smoke, eyes fixed on Jack.
Then, he smirked and continued, "Who would've thought someone like you could step foot in a place like Saffron Faire Café? Don't you know the rules? No dumbass. No dogs."
