Chapter 1019

When Jack arrived at the venue, he noticed the restaurant was busier than usual. He spotted what looked like the last available parking space and quickly steered his car toward it. Just as he was about to park, a red Ferrari pulled up behind him and blared its horn.

Jack frowned slightly and said, "I got here first. Maybe check around for another spot."

To his surprise, the window of the Ferrari rolled down, revealing a young woman who looked visibly annoyed. "Move your car. I saw that spot first."

Jack scoffed and replied, "And if I don't? What then? Are you planning to resort to violence?"

The young woman grew more annoyed. "Bastard! Do you even know who I am? My father is Gerard Cadwallader. If you don't move, I'll make a call and lock you up."

Jack was stunned. He hadn't expected to meet his enemy in such a random encounter. It seemed arrogance ran in the family.

Just as Jack was about to respond, the man in the passenger seat of the Ferrari leaned over and gently pulled the young woman, Winona Cadwallader, back.

"Dad's in the middle of an important campaign. We don't want to cause any trouble." She shot Jack one last pointed look before reluctantly backing out and driving away.

Saffron Faire Café was known for its elegance and old-world charm. The café was celebrated for its signature Lorofleur tea, praised for its deep fragrance and crisp, refreshing flavor.

During the harvest period, young maiden ladies would gently pick the leaves with their mouths. Then, the leaves would be processed through a series of meticulous steps.

Only the best leaves were selected and reserved for senior officials. For anyone else, just a single cup could come at an extraordinary price.

Jack arrived half an hour early. He sipped tea and admired the decor, waiting for his guests to arrive.

Soon after, people began to stream in. First came a group from the Chopington investment circle.

After joining their ranks, Jack realized the vast extent of their network. They brought together nearly every major businessman in the region, from Alrewgo to the financial hubs of Boppington and Chopington. Their collective influence could easily overshadow the four great families in Tarthy City.

Several of the attendees that evening were CEOs of companies valued in the hundreds of billions of dollars. Among them was a well-known man in Tarthy City named Rupert Vane. He was considered to be on par with the city's four great families in terms of influence.

For many in the room, it was their first time meeting Jack. But once they learned he was the founder and CEO of Haven Net, they cozied up to him.

Though each of them held significant standing in the business world, they understood that Haven Net was on the verge of becoming something far greater. As long as it avoided major missteps, the

company was poised to reach

multi-hundred-billion dollar,

valuation-an emerging giant no one could afford to overlook.

As Jack engaged in lively conversation with members of the Chopington investment

circle, the sound of a car engine echoed from outside.

Moments later, two young people entered the café quietly, both wearing hats and dark sunglasses. It was Myra and lan.

Saffron Faire Café was a high-end

venue, and even the greeters at the

entrance were professionally trained, known for their sharp instrels and discretion So, when they saw the license plate on the approaching Jeep, marked with a rare designation, their eyes widened.

One of the hostesses caught a glimpse of lan, and her mouth dropped open in shock. "M-Mr. Kingsley?"

Was that lan Kingsley, the general's son?
