Chapter 1009
Myra and lan happily accepted Jack's invitation. Although they were in their early 20s, they were perceptive enough to recognize who to keep close and who to stay away from. Jack was undoubtedly someone they should get to know much better.
During dinner, Feena called, expressing her interest in visiting a distinguished friend with Jack the next day. She didn't share who this friend was and only mentioned that Luca and Bella would follow along too.
She even shared that this distinguished friend was a senior at Alnewgo University, and his background was impressive. He had an extensive network in Tarthy City, stretching across political, business, and even underworld circles. Rumor had it that the four most prestigious families in Tarthy City considered him a friend and held him in high regard.
Emily and Quintis spoke to Jack and discovered that he was hanging out with a lady, so Emily said, "You can't just go anywhere to hang out if you're with a lady. There are many beautiful places in Tarthy City.
"Also, you've been in Tarthy City for a while now, but I haven't prepared a car for you. I'll give you the keys to all the cars in the garage. We have a Rolls-Royce and a Bentley, but I don't think they're to your liking.
"Why don't I buy a few sports cars for you? How about a Ferrari, a Bugatti, or a Pagani? If you're still not satisfied, I can buy you a limited-edition Batmobile.
"If you want it now, I can get someone to fly it in. We also have a few cruise ships. It's fun to bring it out for a spin, enjoying the wind and tide."
Beside them, Quintis laughed heartily. "Jack, I'll give you everything when the time comes. By the way, do you know how to fly a plane? A small plane or a helicopter, perhaps? You can consider getting a pilot's license and bringing your girlfriend on the plane. It's the easiest way to win a girl's heart!"
"Yes! Your father's right, Jack. You can fly your own plane and travel overseas, or even around the world," Emily suggested with exaggerated gestures. Then, she asked, "Jack, when are you going to introduce us to your girlfriend?"
"Oh, now is not the time," Jack said hesitantly.
He felt somewhat pressured. What troubled him most was that Feena knew about his foster parents, Jeffrey and Helena, but he hadn't the faintest idea how to explain this complicated relationship to Feena.
Emily thought Jack was worried his girlfriend couldn't handle her enthusiasm, so she said, "Don't worry. It'll be like bringing a friend over for a cup of coffee. I swear I won't ask too many questions and will host her warmly. You ask her what she fancies, and I'll buy it for her. Does she like emeralds, diamonds, or other gemstones?
"Also, when are you planning to get married? If you're getting married, where do you plan to go on your honeymoon? Tell me once you have made up your mind, and I'll plan everything out for you. You just need to focus on enjoying the trip.
"Also, we're not getting any younger, so I think it's best to get married once you graduate. If you can, try for a baby once you get married, okay? Your father has a list of ideas for what to name the baby.
"We have names suitable for a boy or a girl. Of course, you have the final say on what to name the baby. Your father and I will only be here to give suggestions." "Stop, stop, stop!"
Jack wasn't the only one who couldn't handle it. It was overwhelming, even for Quintis.
If they hadn't stopped Emily, Quintis was convinced she would talk about having grandchildren, maybe even the grandchild's education and marriage.
Quintis never knew Emily had this naggy side to her.
After Quintis interrupted her, Emily realized she was overly concerned about Jack's marriage and got
carded away. She was instantet
embarassed and gently said,
please forgive me for getting carried away. I just..."
"Too eager." Quintis finished Emily's sentence with a smile. "Jack, your mother cares for you. If you have time, please introduce her to us, okay?"
"Okay! Let's wait for the right time," Jack helplessly said.
"Okay, I'll hold you to it!" Emily reminded him again, worried that Jack would forget.
The next morning, Trent's family visited Quintis. However, Wilhelmina was not with them, and it was said that she was out with friends.
