Chapter 1007
Felix didn't stray too far from the public security office. He sent a few of his men to guard outside the office and also called others.
The more he thought about what had happened today, the more dissatisfied he was.
As the general manager of Starlight Entertainment, Felix usually wielded power like a storm. Huge celebrities who basked in fame bowed to his every whim. Yet today, he found himself utterly humiliated by a lowly singer with humble origins.
Not only was he beaten, but he was also almost put behind bars. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. He wished he could strike Jack down right
now.
Felix possessed a huge network, and with Peter's backing, he had bountiful resources at his disposal.
He gathered a group of people through relentless phone calls. He planned to let the group of thugs lie in wait all around, ready to pounce on Jack and his crew the moment they showed up, and beat them up mercilessly.
After ending the call, Felix lounged in the backseat of his Bentley with a cigarette dangling between his fingers. His mind imagined scenes of how he would deal with Jack once he had him in his grip. As for that elegant, dignified woman, if he could get his hands on her, that would be the real thrill.
At this moment, Felix suddenly saw a group of tattooed men walking toward him with machetes. He knew his reinforcements had arrived, so he quickly got out of the car and waved at them.
"Come here, you useless bunch of human garbage! What are you looking at? Get your asses down here."
The group ran toward him.
Then, one of them with a buzz-cut and a dopey expression asked, "Are you Mr. Chambers? Hugo sent us."
Felix took a drag from his cigarette and snapped, "You bunch of useless trash! What took you so damn long? You wasted five precious minutes of my time! Do you think you can afford to waste my time this way?"
The punks were annoyed at Felix's tone. Their heads drooped slightly, and their eyes darted around doubtfully.
Felix continued, "In a minute, the dumb bastards are going to show up. I want you to take them down hard. There's a gorgeous woman with them. Don't lay your hands on her she's mine. Touch her The and t swear I'll skin every last one of you alive."
Felix was overly arrogant. The buzz-cut thug, Dennis Colt, didn't take kindly to it Mr. Chambers, you mind showing attle respect for our profession?"
Even thugs in Tarthy City had their pride. Being called trash and threatened like that didn't sit well with any of them.
Felix looked dissatisfied. "Are you looking for trouble? Consider it a privilege that I'm even allowing you to help me. Don't make me lay a hand on you."
Dennis' expression turned grim. "Mr. Chambers, we may be working for the money, but we also have our pride if you continue to humiliate us, we won't do your business
arrymore
Felix jumped up in anger. "What did you say? I dare you to say that one more time! Don't make me lay a hand on you. You'll regret it."
"We would like to decline your business. We're sorry." Dennis put his machete away and waved his hand, signaling his lackeys to leave with him.
"You useless piece of shit! How dare you show me such a terrible attitude?" Felix snapped as he pointed at Dennis.
"I dare you to point your damn finger at me one more time," Dennis said aggressively.
Felix was livid, raising his hand and slapping Dennis. "I'm pointing at you, you son of
a bitch! What are you going to do about it?"
"You're asking for trouble!" Dennis roared before kicking him, sending poor Felix flying onto his car and tumbling down.
Felix was dumbfounded. He never expected his reinforcements to lay a hand on him.
He shrieked in fury, "You bastards! You'll regret it for attacking me!"
