Chapter 578 Stealing Her in Front of Him

Stanton Mansion.

Lil Michael’s bad mood dissipated as soon as he played with Tigger happily.

Nicole freshened up and was studying the stock market in the study.

Someone pushed the door open. Without lifting her head, Nicole knew that it was Kai.

He was holding a small box in his hand.

"Lil N, are you busy?"

"Duh."

Kai chuckled and put the box in front of her.

"Will you help me give this to her?"

"To whom?"

Nicole asked and opened the box with curiosity.

The teardrop-shaped jade pendant came back to life again.

When it shattered, it seemed to be gone forever, but Kai actually managed to fix it.

Upon closer look, there was a little flaw that could be neglected.

It was really rare for Kai to be so attentive!

Nicole looked up at him. "K, you should give it to Jules yourself. She'll be very happy."

Kai sighed. "She probably doesn’t want to see me..."

Nicole decisively pushed the box back to him. "No, Jules will be very happy. She’ll be even happier if

you give it to her yourself."

It was such a good opportunity to reconcile their relationship. Naturally, Nicole did not want to take this

away from them.

Kai hesitated. Nicole thought about it and said, "The Ludwigs are hosting a banquet tomorrow. Julies

will b e there, so you should go with me."

This way, she would not have to face that jerk, Eric Ferguson.

The two of them came to an agreement and went back to their respective rooms.

The next day, Nicole came out of a meeting in the office when Logan asked if she needed a designer

dress for the reception later.

Nicole suddenly remembered Keith Ludwig's weird banquet.

'Remarriage? When did Keith even get a divorce? I didn't hear about it...'

Usually, with this kind of marriage alliance involving companies’ interests, a big announcement would

cause turmoil in the stock market. Thus, most people would not announce a divorce no matter how

much others speculated.

Not everyone was as courageous as Nicole and Eric, who would rather bear the consequences of

divorce for a clean break.

Logan reminded the distracted Nicole. "President, should I arrange an assistant to accompany you

tonight?"

Nicole said, "No, Kai's going with me. Just a simple dress will do."

She did not intend to steal their thunder and wanted t o keep a low profile for someone's remarriage

celebration.

Logan nodded and retreated from the office.

Late afternoon.

Eric arrived at Stanton Corporation in his flashy limousine, as if he wanted the world to know that he

had come to pick up Nicole.

He stood in the lobby and waited for her, which attracted a lot of attention. Soon, the whole company

was speculating about the relationship between Eric and Nicole.

Toto told him that it was better if more people knew about it, so Eric was not in a hurry and waited

patiently for Nicole.

The employees who got off work cast meaningful glances at the man and immediately started a lively

discussion after walking past Eric.

"Is Mr. Ferguson really getting back together with Ms. Stanton?"

"It's not like he can even if he wants to. Ms. Stanton is single and has so many suitors. Yesterday, there

were several of them waiting downstairs like Mr. Ferguson, but they were all driven away..."

Eric’s originally pleasant mood shook slightly. His face turned cold.

'Several?!' He gritted his teeth. 'It looks like I’m too careless!’

While Eric was immersed in his thoughts, Nicole came downstairs wearing a black knee-length bustier

dress with an expensive pearl necklace. She wore a white trench coat over her dress and looked so

stunningly beautiful and striking.

Logan was holding her purse for her, but the two of them did not walk in Eric's direction. Instead, they

walked over to a Maybach sports car that appeared at the entrance at some point.

Eric’s eyes darkened slightly. He suddenly remembered that Nicole said that she was going with

someone else.

'I guess she didn't take my words to heart, huh? Did she already plan this a long time ago?'

Eric quietly clenched his fists. His face was cold. He straightened his shirt collar and walked over in big

strides.

He wanted to see who dared to recklessly steal her from him right under his nose. 3
