Chapter 558 Financial Backer Came to Set
Dominic Young smiled at the side without saying a word. The corners of his mouth twitched.
Those endorsements were leftovers that no one wanted, so Dominic packaged it for Xander at a price
that was not very profitable.
What was more, Xander started off with low-level advertisements, so it would be difficult for him to
shoot high-end products.
However, no one told him about these.
Nicole smiled. "No need to be polite. You should thank Mr. Young for taking care of you."
Xander asked, "Ms. Stanton, why don't I treat you to dinner?"
'In the meantime, I can get a paparazzi to snap a picture. What a great opportunity!’ Xander thought.
Nicole shook her head and refused. "I have to send my brother to the set later, so let's take a rain
check."
"The set? Is Mr. Kai filming a movie?"
Xander was surprised and delighted. If he could play a role in Kai's film, his status in the industry would
be instantly elevated.
Nicole looked at Kai. "Yes, it's still under wraps.”
Xander’s excited face was indescribable. "Then can
you arrange a role for me?"
Nicole was his financial backer, and Kai was Nicole's brother.
They were family, so arranging a role should not be difficult.
Xander did not think that his request was excessive.
Kai and Dominic Young were silent and dared not make a sound.
Nicole said, "Fine, then come along."
It was just a matter of a word anyway.
Xander was so thrilled that he almost went to hug her, but Nicole's stern look made him hold back.
Kai did not react, neither did Dominic.
That was because they knew that for an insignificant role, it would be considered lucky if Xander
managed t o be in the final cut of the film. If he did not perform well, they would just cut him out.
Xander’s face tied him down to play only one role, which was Eric Ferguson.
Since it was almost time, they went to the set.
In order to get this role, Xander simply exerted all his strength.
While serving Nicole with fruit and drinks, he would also ask her all kinds of questions to make sure she
was alright.
Kai and Dominic went together and arrived on set long ago.
Xander walked smugly behind Nicole.
With his financial backer coming to set to support him, Xander thought that it was just a matter of time
before he became an A-lister.
Nicole was not in a hurry to leave. She sat in the gazebo on the side to watch the action.
Suddenly, she saw a familiar person.
She waved her hand excitedly. "Jules?!"
Julie Nixon turned around and looked at her for a while before she walked over happily.
"President Nicole, aren't you very busy?"
Nicole heard the sarcasm in her voice, but she was not offended.
"I sent my brother here and will leave in a while. Why are you here?"
Julie brushed her hair and lifted her chin in the direction of an actor.
"One of my staff is here as the artistic director. Roman is also here as the third male lead."
Nicole understood. Julie's company was involved in quite a wide range of businesses, so Nicole did not
think too much about it.
Suddenly, Julie's smile stiffened.
"Who’s that woman next to your third brother?”
That woman was nestled in Kai’s arms as she whined. Kai took a step back and dotingly stroked her
hair.
Nicole saw it and replied, "Oh, that's his new girlfriend. She seems to be the second female lead."
Julie's face changed a few times before she regained her composure.
"Changing girlfriends again? Mr. Superstar is really amorous!”
"He's just playing along. It’s all fake." Nicole explained.
The corners of Julie's lips twitched. 'Is it really fake? 0 r perhaps it only started off fake...'
However, Julie was in no position to care.
The second female lead ran over to Julie and Nicole.
The female lead's iconic prop was on the table nearby.
When the second female lead took the prop, she did not notice that a set of car keys with a teardrop
jade pendant was placed next to it.
At that moment, the car keys fell to the ground, which made a crisp sound.
The jade pendant split into pieces.
Julie and Nicole's faces changed dramatically.
"Stop right there!"
