Chapter 1157
Chapter 1157:
Winfred shook in my embrace.
As soon as he stopped talking, Antoni lunged at me with the dagger, the blade slicing through the air with a wicked hiss, targeting my cheek. I instinctively shut my eyes, and at that instant, one thought dominated my mind.
No matter what happened, I had to protect Winfred.
Alice’s POV:
Just as Antoni’s dagger was about to pierce my skin, the cell door burst open with a bang.
Bang!
The thick iron door slammed loudly against the wall.
A tall figure charged in, moving like a flash of lightning.
He swiftly delivered a fierce kick to Antoni’s chest, sending him tumbling backward.
“Ah!” Antoni soared through the air, crashing down onto the floor with a loud scream.
His dagger slipped from his fingers and fell with a clatter.
I froze in place, my heart racing, struggling to comprehend what had just unfolded.
I glanced up at the man who had materialized out of nowhere, and a sudden jolt ran through my heart.
He stood tall and exuded strength, with bold features and piercing, icy eyes that conveyed his dominance. His attire suggested that he might be from the Wizard Clan.
What struck me the most was his striking resemblance to Jett, particularly in his eyes—they were nearly identical.
Who was this guy? What brought him here? How was he linked to Jett?

Antoni struggled to rise from the floor, his face drained of color and his eyes brimming with fear.
“Your Highness, why… why are you here?” Antoni stuttered, his voice shaking.
I caught how he referred to this man, and it dawned on me right away. My heart raced; this man might be a prince of the Wizard Clan! It was clear why he appeared so strong, and it made sense why Antoni was so terrified.
It looked like Antoni had already become part of the Wizard Clan, and the wizard prince’s arrival had obviously thrown a wrench in his plans. The wizard prince regarded Antoni with icy disdain, clearly seeing him as insignificant. He spoke in a frigid tone.
“Antoni, why didn’t you inform me that you had captured them?”
Antoni’s expression shifted as he hurried forward to clarify, “Your…
“Highness, my intention was to make Makenna hand over Jett to you, so I… I didn’t notify you right away…”
“Humph!” The prince scoffed, suddenly lifting his hand and delivering a harsh slap to Antoni’s face. The force of the blow caused Antoni to stagger back a few steps before he hit the floor.
Antoni’s cheek quickly swelled, and a trickle of blood dripped from the corner of his mouth. He covered his face in fright, too scared to make a sound.
“You’re such a loser!” The prince looked down at Antoni with complete disdain. “Don’t think I’m clueless about your intentions. Do you honestly believe your petty tricks can deceive me?”
