Chapter 1117
Chapter 1117:
What sinister game was the Harrison family playing? What secrets were they guarding from me?
“The Harrison family… could they have been orchestrating betrayal from the shadows all this time?” I murmured, words meant only for myself.
Yet, despite my efforts, the puzzle pieces refused to align into anything coherent.
My head pounded with such ferocity it threatened to split my skull, compelling me to redirect my attention to the more immediate threat—my three rebellious sons.
I was poised to inquire about Marehelm when the grand hall doors crashed open once more.
A guard burst through, urgency etched across his face.
“Your Majesty, a survivor from the werewolf forest has returned with critical intelligence!”
A predatory gleam flashed in my eyes. “Bring him in at once!”
Moments later, a soldier—his body ravaged with wounds—was escorted into the hall.
He collapsed to one knee before me, his voice quavering with exhaustion.
“Your Majesty, the werewolf forest… has fallen. It was… it was Makenna. She’s alive and has even liberated the white wolves!”
“What?” My pupils contracted to pinpoints of disbelief. “Makenna is still alive?”
She not only lived, but had also freed the white wolves and orchestrated the downfall of the werewolf forest?
“Explain in detail!” I commanded, my voice a glacial blade slicing through the air, barely containing my fury.
The soldier’s face drained of all color as he bowed his head deeper, his voice fracturing with each word.

“It was… it was the three princes. They brought Makenna into the werewolf forest. With their tactical support, we couldn’t repel their forces and had no alternative but to abandon our positions…”
Upon hearing this revelation, the rage within me threatened to tear through my ribcage. So this explained their defiance! Those treacherous sons were protecting Makenna!
My composure shattered completely. A merciless gleam crystallized in my gaze as I thundered, “Dispatch orders to all troops surrounding Marehelm! Strike Marehelm without delay! By whatever means necessary, Makenna must be captured!”
The soldiers throughout the hall snapped to attention, their voices rising as one, “Yes, Your Majesty!”
Makenna’s POV:
In the grand conference hall, I was seated at an expansive table alongside the three princes and other key figures.
A well-worn map lay unfurled before us, its details scrutinized endlessly.
The air was thick with unease, every face clouded with worry.
“Leonardo’s forces are fully mobilized. We need a defense plan, and we need it now,” I said evenly, breaking the oppressive quiet that gripped the room.
Dayton inclined his head, about to respond, when the chamber’s heavy doors burst open. The butler stumbled in, breathless and ashen-faced.
