Chapter 1082
Chapter 1082:
“Let’s not hasten toward any irreversible decisions. We should first examine the medicine Alex provided to determine its viability. If it proves useful—” he turned to Jett, “—do you possess the expertise to formulate an antidote?”
Dominic’s penetrating gaze then landed on the antidote Alex had left behind.
A beacon of hope ignited within me.
“Yes, absolutely!” I exclaimed, my voice rising with renewed optimism.
“Jett, please examine it!”
With a resigned exhalation, Jett shook his head. “The antidote remains exclusive to the Wizard Clan’s royal bloodline precisely because one vital component exists solely within their palace walls. Without this essential ingredient, crafting any remedy becomes virtually impossible.”
My chest constricted painfully as I furrowed my brow, refusing to surrender. “What exactly is this mysterious component? Perhaps we can devise a strategy to acquire it?”
Jett’s complexion drained to alabaster as he spoke, his voice laden with gravity. “It’s a mythical herb rumored to counteract all poisons, nurtured through generations of painstaking cultivation by the Wizard Clan. During my escape from their palace, I daringly smuggled a handful of plants. The Saint later instructed me to transform them into antidote pills, which now rest within the werewolves’ royal palace.”
Bryan’s tense expression dissolved instantly at these words, his eyes igniting with sudden hope.
“If we have the antidote pills,” he burst out, “can we neutralize the toxic effects of the magic potions on the citizens?”
With deliberate slowness, Jett shook his head. “The meager supply of pills we possess would scarcely be enough.”
A suffocating weight descended upon the room once more.

Everyone lapsed into troubled silence, their features etched with mounting dread and powerlessness.
Then inspiration struck me like lightning, compelling me to break the silence. “I survived a venomous snake bite once,” I ventured, recalling a crucial memory. “An antidote pill saved my life. So, my blood might carry antibodies from that antidote pill. And considering my healing abilities—could my blood possibly serve as a substitute for that ingredient?”
The moment my suggestion hung in the air, every head in the room snapped toward me, faces frozen in collective shock.
“No! It’s too dangerous!” the three princes exclaimed in perfect, alarmed unison.
I closed my eyes deliberately, jaw tightening with resolve. “Regardless of the risks,” I whispered through clenched teeth, “I need to attempt this.”
Makenna’s POV:
Through sheer determination, I finally convinced Jett and the princes to yield to my request.
Jett gripped the syringe, his hesitation betraying an inner battle waging within him. Eventually, his resolve hardened as he clenched his jaw and plunged the needle into my arm, drawing blood.
Each second ticked by with agonizing slowness. I paced outside the laboratory like a caged animal, while the three princes stood in weighted silence. The atmosphere pressed down upon us, thick with unspoken fears and mounting tension.
At last, after what felt like an eternity, Jett emerged from Dayton’s makeshift laboratory.
